A&M-SA students look to the future

A&M-San Antonio saw the second largest number of candidates cross the stage at the Fall Commencement Ceremony on Tuesday, December 16. A&M-SA was honored to have State Senator Carlos Uresti as the commencement speaker and Phillip Ray, chief business development officer of The Texas A&M University System, represented the A&M System at the ceremony. Congratulations to the students who were conferred their degrees this semester!

A special farewell to University president

A&M-San Antonio faculty and staff thanked Dr. Maria Hernandez Ferrier for her service to the University with a Christmas Concert and farewell presentation on Saturday, December 13. Special guest musicians included Dr. Ferrier's daughter, Cynthia Marshall, on the flute, pianist Mark Alexander and baritone Elias Mokole, who performed along with University Voices. The concert concluded with a rendition of West Side Story's "Maria". Several guest speakers, including Councilwoman Rebecca Viagran, took the stage to thank Dr. Ferrier for her dedication to the University and wished her the best of luck with her new position in The Texas A&M University System.

A&M-SA professor joins the event board at InnoTech San Antonio

Congratulations to Dr. Carolyn Green, director of the Center for Information Technology and Cyber Security and associate professor for Computer Information Systems, for being selected as a member of the Board of Advisors for the 2015 InnoTech San Antonio Business & Technology Innovation Conference and Exposition, scheduled for April 9, 2015. InnoTech is one of the key technology education and networking events in San Antonio and South Texas.
